ABOUT THE EVENT

Strings Concert Dazzles Audience With A Symphony of the Senses

Individuals from all across the country convened at the Newark Marriott for what proved to be a truly unforgettable evening in support of the Links Family organization.

The event was much more than just a concert, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that captivated the audience, providing musical collaborations and highlights that have never been experienced before.

String's producers put a musical highlight on family, emphasizing the crucial work that Links does with the families in their care.

The Marcus Brothers, starring Eli Marcus and 8th Day's Bentzi and Shmuel Marcus brought the audience into their living room growing up, where they took the crowd on a journey through some of the songs that influenced their unique style today, including their grandfather's compositions, Chabad Niggunim, Piamenta and more.

Mordechai Shapiro and his brothers took the audience back in time covering some nostalgia hits from their time in Miami Boys Choir, and some favorites from Dveykus, Lev Tahor and more. The audience then got to experience Shabbos with the Shapiros, including a stunning acapella ending to "Mimkomcha" from the five brothers.

Naftali Kempeh flew all the way from Israel where he joined Beri Weber on stage for a Kumzitz that brought two worlds together, Yeshivish and Chassidish. The two stars went through a gorgeous medley of Carlebach songs, someone who they both have been inspired by musically.

One of the audience favorites of the night came when Abie Rotenberg and Joey Newcomb took the stage, and performed a medley of Marvelous Midos Machine songs, something that Joey had been begging Abie to do with him for years, Rotenberg shared.

And just as the crowd felt the evening had reached its peak, superstar Avraham Fried popped in from behind the audience for a thrilling surprise performance, joining his nephews the Marcus Brothers on stage.

Rabbi Nosson Muller perfectly encapsulated the purpose of the evening, as he shared about "an orphan's song" through the lens of his personal experiences with the families that Links cares for.

The evening concluded with a kumzitz led by Motti Feldman and Moishy Schwartz leading into the finale where the singers danced the night away in the audience together with the crowd.

The event was produced by Eli Ickowicz and I Schnitz of Signature Experiences and directed by Chaim Zippel, with marketing by I & Me Media.

The masterful culinary experience was crafted by Chef Heshy from Corporate Events NY. The music was led by the legendary Freilach Band.
